Scientific name is Phyllanthus Acidus, also known as Otaheite Gooseberry. Our Sour Cherry Wine is one of the oldest wine we have, a little over four (4) years. However, don’t judge the wine by the name. It is not a tarty or a sour wine as the name suggests.
• Even though the fruit is sour naturally, this is a medium sweet to sweet, smooth, white wine.
• Ideal for having a glass of this wine with your meals.
• Pairs well with our local foods, e.g. Roti with Curry as well as with Dhal and Rice as well as Pelau (one pot cook-up with rice, pigeon peas and chicken).
• Ideally used for cooking.
